Day 2: Local handicraft villages in Hanoi– Ninh Binh (B, D)

Save the little charm Hanoi for later, this morning, we will visit photogenic handicraft villages where incense and bamboo fish trap making has been a longstanding tradition and work for locals. Besides learning about the dying incense sticks process, we also have an opportunity to capture the most colorful and beautiful moments of the villager’s movements from different angles while they do their jobs. In the afternoon, we will visit Ninh Binh, a World Natural Heritage Site since 2014. The following activities will be hopping on a bamboo boat and rowing along the Ngo Dong River where you could see the “Indochina” film set. The boat ride offers an outstanding view of thousands of astonishing limestone cliffs and an exciting experience going under Hang Ca and Hang Ba caves. After lunch, our tour guide will take you to Bich Dong pagoda which is built on top of a mountain and therefore offers us the view of the most appalling scenes of all Hanoi holidays on each level. Return to Hanoi in the evening.

Day 3: Hanoi – Thong Nguyen (Ha Giang) (B, D)

The day starts early with a long but stunning journey from Hanoi to Ha Giang. On the way, we will pass through many beautiful valleys and mountains, especially when we reach the remote Chay River Valley. Stop in some tribal villages to meet and feel the local hospitality and learn more about their lifestyles. We aim to get to Thong Nguyen before sunset to capture the most beautiful time of the day over endless layers of rolling hills & rice terraces at the end of the day’s light. Day 4: Thong Nguyen – Ha Giang (B, L, D)

After enjoying your complimentary breakfast at the hotel, say goodbye to Thong Nguyen and make our way to Hoang Su Phi, Ha Giang Province. This place is considered the most spectacular rice terrace region in Vietnam, and certainly among the most beautiful on the planet. Once we get there, we will spend our entire day exploring the area and finding the best spots for photoshoot opportunities and views.

In addition, we will visit the home of several tribal people, who live in peaceful villages on the hills and valleys in this region. If we visit the town during school time, we can picture one of the rooms in the schoolhouse full of tribal kids with stunning backgrounds filled with backdrops for environmental portraits.
