Day 1: Welcome to Hanoi! (D)

Upon arriving at Noi Bai International Airport, our guide and driver will be there to pick you up and then drive you to your hotel. Relax after your long flight and enjoy a delicious welcome dinner at a local restaurant in town (Our first-day schedule could be modified to meet your time of arrival).

Day 2: Ha Noi city tour (B)

First, we visit the Temple of Literature, Quoc Tu Giam which is the most iconic place in Hanoi. Then, we will make our way to Ho Chi Minh Complex to check out Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum where preserved Uncle Ho’s corpse for people from all over the country and international visitors to visit their beloved old father, and Ba Dinh Square where President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence on September 2, 1945. Another signature place in the complex is One Pillar Pagoda- a unique architectural style pagoda built in 1049. After that, we will visit the Presidential Palace and Ho Chi Minh’s Residence which was used as his workplace and home back in the old time respectively, and Ho Chi Minh Museum. Continue to West Lake to visit Tran Quoc Pagoda and Quan Thanh Temple. After lunch, visit the Ethnology Museum which is not only a museum but also a research center, specializing in exhibiting the ethnic people and culture of Vietnam. There will be other activities on the side such as traditional festive and water puppet show to participate in. The day ends beautifully with 1 hour on the cyclo to discover the alive Hanoi 36 streets in the Old Town. The bustling narrow streets will show you thousands of businesses and shopkeepers. “36 streets” used to welcome artisans and traders from villages around Ha Noi from 2000 years ago. Day 3:  Hanoi – Ha Long Bay (B, L, D)

Leave your hotel in Hanoi at around 8:00 for the majestic Ha Long Bay in Quang Ninh province. We will arrive at Tuan Chau port around noon time. Get on the cruise ship and meet our professional and friendly crew who will be with you the entire Ha Long experience. We will enjoy our exquisite lunch in the dining room while cruising through thousands of beautiful and enigmatic islands and islets. Such a wonderful experience! Have a good rest and enjoy your free time seeing the most beautiful landscapes which are listed as a wonder of the world and UNESCO World Heritage Sites. You will immerse yourself in nature by floating in the middle of the sea with a kayaking adventure. Feel free to jump or swim in the emerald water. After kayaking, get back to the boat and join an entertaining sunset party on the sundeck. This evening, dinner will be served on the boat, our home for tonight.

Day 4: Ha Long – Noi Bai Airport – Da Nang (B, Br)

In the morning, your breakfast will be served while floating on the sea to explore the beauty of Halong Bay before disembarking time. Joining some more activities on the boat and then checked out the cabin. An early lunch will be served before getting back to the main dock. After lunch, our guide and driver will escort you to Ha Noi airport for a flight to Da Nang, and then the driver take you to your hotel in Hoi An where we will spend the night.

Day 5: Hoi An City tour – local village – Cooking class (B, D)

After your complimentary breakfast, take a walk around Hoi An town to see remarkably well-preserved traditional houses that have withstood 200 years of weather and war. Visit a Japanese Covered Bridge which was first constructed in the 1590s by linking it with the Chinese quarters. Following Tran Phu street, we will get to The Assembly Halls. There are 4 Assembly Halls in Hoi An, and each of those Halls has belonged to a Chinese community that has its own beliefs, different assembly halls worship different gods and goddesses. Then going to the boat station, take a boat and begin our tour of traditional villages. The first destination is Kim Bong carpentry village established in the 15th century. From the 16th century, Kim Bong was famous for home appliances, shipbuilding… products. The village had a significant contribution to the development of the Hoi An trading port. Nowadays, skillful craftsmen turn to making handicraft products. Although the product is more simple and plain, it still shows the skill and talent of the craftsman. The next stop is Thanh Ha Pottery village which is formed in the 16th century and is the oldest in Vietnam. Thanh Ha village used to produce bowls, jars, roof tile, and lining bricks… to distribute to Hoi An and another nearby area. There was a time that the village was nearly forgotten, however with efforts from the heart of the craftsman, the village gradually recovered. You will have a chance to hear the story of the craftsman, watch the process of making a pottery product, and even more excited is to try to make a product of your own. Get the special bamboo basket boat on Cua Dai river, explore the Seven hectares of water palm forest, learn how to catch purple crabs… Do the short transfer to An Bang Beach, and take your rest time here. 

In the afternoon, we go to An My Paddy Field and see the buffalo – the symbol of the countryside in Vietnam. Continue to the local house in Tra Que Village, and enjoy a welcome drink. Taking part in a cooking class, learning how to make traditional rice milk, and having dinner with local food at the local family. This will be a true experience of the trip. Meeting local farmers, talking with them and sharing about their local farming, and experiencing daily life. Listening to the tour guide introduced and explained the process of wet rice and how to grow it and have a chance to work as a real farmer.

Day 6: Goodbye Hoi An – Phu Quoc Arrival (B)

After enjoying your complimentary breakfast at your hotel, we will take you to Da Nang airport for a short flight to one of the best beaches in Vietnam – Phu Quoc. The Island offers you a wonderful experience with the best beaches and water activities in Vietnam.

Day 7: Explore Phu Quoc (B)

Day 8: Explore Phu Quoc (B)

Day 9:  Goodbye Phu Quoc – Hello Saigon (B)

Start your day on the right foot with a delicious breakfast to get you going. Depending on the flight that is available that day, we are sure that you could spend your morning dive into the crystal clear beach for a swim before our driver takes you to the airport, where you will take a flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Check in to your hotel and put off your luggage, and get relax. It is your free time to explore Ho Chi Minh City (as known as Sai Gon). The night will be at your own time to see the vibe of the city and get ready for an exciting day tomorrow.

Day 10: Sai Gon half-day city tour – Cu Chi Tunnels (B, L)

Our first destination in the city is the War Remnants Museum where we can be informed about the US invasion of Vietnam, and its absorbing exhibits give visitors an invaluable insight into a defining chapter in the Vietnam war’s history. Departure to Reunification Palace which was named in global history in 1975 and was built for the South Vietnam Government during the Vietnam-American War. After that, we will visit the famous French architecture Notre Dame Cathedral, and General Post Office. Cu Chi tunnel is one of the best things to do while we are in the South, not only for its location but also for its location with extraordinary history. Allow half an hour for the introduction to the history of Cu Chi and its creation and purposes. Enjoy a guided walk in the jungle, crawl into the tunnels and visit some permitted areas of the systems including living areas and martial facilities before heading back to Sai Gon.

Day 11: Mekong Delta – Return to Sai Gon (B, L)

After having breakfast, we travel to Hung Vuong Pier in Ben Tre. Take a boat at Ben Tre River for sightseeing and lively activities along the river such as fishing, and water transfer. We will stop at the most popular places for handicraft workshops including a craft brickyard where the locals still use centuries-old traditional methods to handmade bricks, process coconut into many different forms, and weave mats with the aid of dried reeds and a huge loom. A local Xe Loi (motorized rickshaw) will take us into a tropical garden where we can taste the exotic tropical fruit and enjoy our homemade lunch. Spend the rest of the afternoon lounging on a sampan boat rowing through Ben Tre’s iconic backwaters with water palms and coconut trees. Return to Sai Gon for the night.

Day 12: Goodbye Sai Gon (B)

Enjoy your last hearty breakfast at the hotel and your last hours in the beautiful area. Say farewell to your travel companions before your flight home with wonderful memories.
