When fall comes, buckwheat flowers blossom all over northern region, wild sunflowers dyed Đa Lat in their bright yellow, Hanoi blanked with fragrance of white milk flowers, Mộc Hoá, in contrast, welcome us with vast fields of water lilies vividly.

Like the eagle grass, water lilies known as “Bông súng” grow well at the beginning of the rainy season and bloom with water waves from upstream carving alluvium. There are two types of water lilies which are man grown and wild one. The human grown water lily is shorter, and bigger in terms of body and flower size compared to the wild one. Whereas, the wild one is known as ghost water lily has a thinner steam, and the body is twice as long compared to the man grown one. And, interestingly, this wild lily only blooms and emerges above the water in the evening. When the sun rises up, they fade and sink into the water.
