Many customers have arrived at this third-generation establishment in custom clothing and shoemaking via the recommendations of hotels, drivers, and restaurant waitstaff - against the stereotype of such recommendations, Tuong Tailor delivers on these endorsements. The tailors of Tuong possess the rarefied expert eye - the ability to tell whether and what, alterations are needed with just a glance. They work together with clients to, effectively design the client’s dream outfit from scratch. A customer had a special request to make a suit larger than their measurements; the staff rose to the challenge and delivered a sleek, satisfying outfit. An amusing review asserts that the customer found absolutely nothing to complain about - despite being Dutch and therefore self-described experts at complaining.
Another reviewer noted that at times the staff may be quiet and more subdued than the traditionally effusive image of retail employees, but they are by no means rude or inattentive, merely polite.

They stock a bewildering variety of fabric - over 5000 fabric samples! - and maintain top-notch standards in their products and customer service. In addition, they are partnered with a leather shop down the street to serve extra needs of customers. Like most shops on this list, they keep customer measurements (up to 5 years at Kimmy’s) so that people can place orders after returning from their visit to Hoi An.
