What to wear in Vietnam

You can dress whatever makes you feel most comfortable in hot climates, like short pants and a tank top in Ho Chi Minh City. However, it is still extremely traditional in the northern regions. Consequently, you should avoid wearing too-short clothing.

Prepare thick coats and pants to assist keep warm for the northern mountainous areas where the weather is cold and rainy. Leggings, cork-jacket, sweater, etc. are some examples.

You can buy clothes in Vietnam because it is affordable. There are many well-known brands, including Zara, Uniqlo, etc., so you can choose the appropriate clothing freely.

You should be careful to dress modestly and courteously when visiting places of worship, such as temples. When going to the temple, wear long pants and a matching top with sleeves. It can be offensive and improper for the culture if you wear clothes too short.

Additionally, remember to include sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat to reduce the negative effects of the sun. Especially if you visit the beach or other hot places.
