1. When you can apply for the 3-month visa
Previously, the Vietnam eVisa had a validity period of 30 days and only permitted single entry. However, the new regulation, approved by the National Assembly Standing Committee, will introduce a more traveler-friendly approach. Under the revised policy, the visa will be valid for up to 90 days and will offer the option of both single-entry and multiple-entry.
The flexibility offered by the multiple-entry option allows travelers to explore Vietnam’s diverse landscapes, immerse themselves in its vibrant culture, and engage in various activities throughout their stay.
It’s important to note that the revised policy will only apply to applications submitted on or after August 15, 2023. Individuals who have already obtained their eVisa or have submitted their application prior to this date will not be entitled to the extended validity. Therefore, travelers who are planning a visit to Vietnam after this significant policy change should ensure that their application is submitted on or after the specified date to take advantage of the extended validity period.
