Day 1: Hello Long Coc & Ta Xua (L, D)

Your shared or private tour will begin as you are picked up from your hotel or meet us at a suggested place in the Old Town at around 6:30 to leave the bustling city, then drive to Long Coc Tea Hill which is considered one of the most beautiful tea hills in Vietnam. Spend sufficient time at the tea hill to capture the best moment of the endless green and the romantic sea of clouds resembling fairytale scenery. Return to our van and continue our journey. Before heading straight to Bac Yen town, we will stop for a break and lunch at a local restaurant in Phu Yen. The way from Phu Yen to Bac Yen is a true challenge with a windy & steep mountain road (12- vertical distance) but well worth with breathtaking scenery. By mid-afternoon, we will reach Ta Xua.  We are sure that you will be excited to jump on a motorbike and make a short trek to the “dinosaur’s back,” where you are high up and surrounded by mountains and the vast sea of clouds. Return to the homestay where we spend the night and enjoy our delicious dinner.

Day 2: Goodbye Ta Xua – Mu Cang Chai- The most beautiful rice terraces (B, L, D)

You wouldn’t want to miss the spectacular sunrise with clouds rising from the bottom of the valley and disappearing when the sun shows up so we recommend waking up early to start your day. After having your breakfast, and saying goodbye to your host, we make our way to Mu Cang Chai. On the way, we will stop at Tu Le for lunch and a short break then drive along the Khau Pha pass which is considered one of the four greatest passes in Northern Vietnam. The pass offers many viewpoints over Lim Mong and Lim Thai villages. Finally, we get to La Pan Tan, Mu Cang Chai which is well-known for its large and high rice terraces cultivated by H’Mong people over the past hundreds of years. Feel free to find your best angle to capture the best moment before heading to Mu Cang Chai town which is the last destination of the day.

Day 3: Ban Nha rice terraces – return to Hanoi (B, L)

After enjoying your hearty breakfast, we will visit Ba Nha rice terrace fields for a short hike through the villages to get to “Horseshoe” or “Raspberry Hill” (Đồi Mâm Xôi in Vietnamese)- the famous sport in Mu Cang Chai for the round shape of the rice fields. Here, we can spend time walking from a different angle for the best view of the fields and mountains and chatting with local people about their daily life. Return to our homestay and get ready for our trip back to Hanoi. However, the trip is not finished yet. We will visit a local market in Tu Le or Nghia Lo, then top at Thanh Thuy Hot Springs for a steam bath (optional). We will be back in Hanoi by late afternoon where our great 3 days and 2-night trip ends will wonderful memories.

Besides my unlimited passion for traveling, a professional tour guide for over a decade, I have been taking photographs since sitting at Hanoi of the University of Culture in the early 2000s. Photography started as a hobby but it was seriously taken due to my work relations and my significant passion for the beauty of our world, especially in Southeast Asian parts such as Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, and Myanmar.

Within a few years of taking photographs, my works began to be recognized by many reliable international publications such as AFAR Travel, The Times, and The Daily Telegraph newspaper. In addition, I continuously add to my growing profile by winning numerous major awards: 3rd Position of The Independent Photographer 2018, 1st Position of Amateur Photographer of the year 2018, Grand Prize Winner of the AFAR Travel Photography 2019, and a Gold Award of San Francisco Bay International Photography 2020.

I photograph a wide variety of subjects, from travel to landscapes to street scenes. I enjoy documenting the East’s rich cultural heritage and its land soaked in glorious sunrise or sunset light in remote and secluded spots.
